Dark Age of Camelot leveling skills

Bots are less necessary than ever before, but are still ideal and required if you want max buffs. I'm going to make a list of things I wish I had known right away when coming back.

1. Leveling with quests in the battlegrounds is the fastest way to level on your own. You can pick them up in portal keep, they are mostly self explanatory. Do tutorial zone from level 1-10.

2. At level 40 you can do a glass quest in Oceanus, you get 2 quests each from 2 npc's. One is near the blue portal, the other is near the afrit stone/porters, behind them. You do a short loop, the map will show you where to go. I start with statues, then harpy, then afrit, then treasure chests.

3. During the 40-45 phase you need to port to leirvik and accept bg quests 3 times. The first is level 40, second round at level 41, and at level 43 you get a third and final round of them. You go complete them at level 43, and turn them all in, only having to complete once for 3 quests worth of credit/xp. This should get you to 45, but it might just get you close if you didn't have guild xp bonus. You can complete some more oceanus or bg quests to finish it off.

4. At level 45 you can go do pict quests, on hib and mid there is almost always a bg up, you get the quest at the main border keep (SF/DC/CS) and port to the other border keep (non NF side) but it'll make you port to a refugee camp instead. The bg killing is visible when you port in, you'll see the camp and where they setup the first time and know where to go. On alb I'm not sure what they do, but if all else fails, just do bg quests.

5. There are a limited amount of good items price wise these days, but their prices are high. Money is a lot easier to come by, via pict quests, and various other things. Making a cheap template is fairly easy, but making a good one is going to take some farming plat. You'll likely have met people to help you with this by the time you need it, but just know that dragon items/glass/etc are all much cheaper and easier to obtain. The summoners items, laby, ML10 items are the high money items now.

6. Classes are mostly the same as 2-3 years ago in a general sense, but there are some changes you'll want to get caught up on. The newest patch notes are probably the most needed information in that regard. Anything else I'd suggest asking someone. The balance of the classes is very similar though, it's just people's perception and use are a little different. I wouldn't necessarily say anything in the past 2-3 years has made one class un-useable or not if you wanted though.

I think that's a big chunk of the things I wanted to know, and have learned since returning. That information is generalized of course, especially the last one, but it'll help get you on the right page I think.
